At Backpacks For Life, we believe no veteran should be forgotten, especially in their final moments. When a call like this comes in, we act. We’re sharing this message from Derek Farthing in the hopes that someone in our community can stand in solidarity and honor a fellow Comrade who has no family to attend his service. If you’re able, please consider attending.
Please see the information below.
“Comrades,
Loneliness is pain upon the heart. No one should have to leave this Earth alone.
The case before us is with short notice and long, deep-rooted self-respect to pay honor to a Comrade whose life is over. He has no family to attend. We are his family.
I need to know IMMEDIATELY who will attend service tomorrow morning. Please email or text me.. I’m hdg to my optometry appt now.
The mass will be at our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 99 Broadway in Jersey City at 10:30 AM tomorrow, Friday.
