The NJ SOS VETERANSTAKEHOLDERS Group (New Jersey SOS Vets) is a non-profit organization that serves as a coalition of individuals and organizations dedicated to assisting New Jersey veterans and their families.

Their primary mission is to provide vital support and services to veterans, focusing on areas of critical need.

Key Activities and Services

• Addressing Homelessness: A significant focus is on helping to end veteran homelessness. They provide access to emergency housing (up to three days) and connect veterans with long-term support providers like Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) and Bringing Veterans Home (BVH).
•  Comprehensive Support: The coalition assists veterans with a range of essential services, including:
• Housing assistance
• Emergency transportation

 Mental health and medical care

• Clothing
• Employment
• Outreach and Advocacy: They actively seek out veterans in need, connect them with resources, and advocate for legislation and programs that benefit veterans and their families.
• Community Awareness: They hold community events and seminars to raise awareness, particularly about veteran suicide prevention, and connect veterans to various resources in their communities.
• Networking: The group holds stakeholder meetings to strengthen the network of services available and ensure collaboration among service providers, advocates, and community groups across the state.
