About NJ One-Stop Career Centers
Veterans receive first priority referral to all job and training opportunities in which they qualify. Staff specialists at local One-Stop Career Centers help veterans find suitable jobs and opportunities. At One-Stop Career Centers veterans can also:
- enroll in free job search workshops
- find help developing a resume
- learn about career training programs
- get help understanding the array of benefits
- available through the Veterans Administration and state and local government agencies
Applying for Government Positions
If you are looking for a job in local, state, or federal government, you may be entitled to “veterans preference” if you meet certain criteria. To learn more about veterans preference, talk to one of the staff specialists at your nearest One-Stop Career Center.
New Jersey’s One-Stop Career Centers provide a multitude of services such as:
- job search assistance
- training and education assistance
- specialized services
- on-site resource rooms (PCs, telephones, etc.)
