National Veterans Business Development Council
About National Veterans Business Development Council
We are the nation’s original third-party authority for certification of veteran-owned businesses of all sizes and the corporations wanting to engage them.
Certification of Veteran Owned Businesses has reached a new level with Corporate America. Since 1999 when the federal government established the veteran-owned and disabled veteran-owned business classifications, veteran businesses have been seeking equal opportunities with corporate America. Nonetheless, they have been largely excluded from the corporate spend. The single most cited reason is that there is not a national certifying body that they can rely on to provide them legitimate veteran-owned and operated companies. The private sector needs and wants a reliable source to certify VOBs and the NVBDC’s goal is to provide that service. NVBDC Is America’s Original Veteran Certification Program Accepted By The Corporate Supplier Diversity Community.
Eligibility Requirement: NVBDC defines a “Veteran” as a person who served full-time (24/7) “Active Duty” service in the United States “Armed Forces” for a minimum of 180 Consecutive Active Duty Days, less training and breaks there within
