VSO Grants

The Kyle Palmieri Foundation, founded by New York Islanders forward Kyle Palmieri, is committed to improving the lives of veterans and their families on Long Island. Recognizing that the challenges of military service don’t end when duty does, the Kyle Palmieri Foundation partners with organizations that deliver hands-on services and essential resources to our veteran community. We raise funds and awareness for programs that address housing and food insecurity, access to healthcare, mental health and counseling services, and promote employment and economic stability.

Squad 21 Program

The Kyle Palmieri Foundation also invests in community-based initiatives that strengthen veteran support systems and create opportunities for veterans to connect, heal, and thrive together. Our Squad 21 program allows service members and veterans to connect over their service and shared love of hockey by inviting them to enjoy a fun night at New York Islanders games free of charge. Participants also have the opportunity to meet with Kyle following the game.

Youth Hockey Clinics 

In partnership with the New York Islanders, we host free street hockey clinics for the children of active-duty military members and veterans.
