About Catholic Charities Veterans Services

Veteran Services

Catholic Charities, through the ministries of Catholic Charities of Long Island (CCLI), provides a wide range of services that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and their families. Many veterans face challenges related to aging, physical health, mental health, housing, food security, and the transition back to civilian life. These programs help address those needs while promoting dignity, independence, and overall well-being.

Our services are listed below. Together, these services provide veterans with practical assistance, emotional support, and pathways to greater stability and independence. By addressing nutritional needs, housing concerns, social isolation, mental health challenges, and recovery support, Catholic Charities helps ensure that those who have served our nation receive the care, respect, and support they deserve.

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels delivers nutritious meals directly to homebound veterans who may have difficulty shopping for groceries or preparing food on their own. Beyond providing healthy meals, the program also offers regular social contact and wellness checks, helping to reduce isolation and ensuring that vulnerable veterans remain connected to their community.
