On Saturday, June 13, veterans in New Jersey will have access to an incredible day of free care, community support, and connection at the annual Smiles for Our Heroes event in West Orange.

Hosted at 49 Mount Pleasant Avenue in West Orange, this special event runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and offers free dental services for eligible veterans, including exams, cleanings, x-rays, fillings, dentures, and extractions. Beyond dental care, attendees can also enjoy a resource fair featuring food, live music, giveaways, and additional support services designed to connect veterans with valuable resources in their community.

For many veterans, access to dental care can be difficult due to cost or lack of insurance coverage. Events like this help close that gap while also creating a welcoming environment where veterans can feel supported, connected, and appreciated.

To qualify for dental services, veterans must:

• Be uninsured for dental services
• Meet income eligibility guidelines

While the resource fair is open to walk-ins, registration is required for all dental services.
