Northern NJ Veterans Stand Down – October 18, 2025
The largest Stand Down event in New Jersey is coming to Newark this fall. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., veterans are invited to the JFK Recreation Center (211 W Kinney St, Newark, NJ) for a day of support, resources, and connection.

This event will bring together community partners to provide essential services including:

• VA healthcare and medical screenings
• Housing support and homeless services
• Mental health resources
• Public benefits assistance
• Legal support
• Non-profit services and much more

Transportation will be available from select locations, and lunch will be provided for all attendees, vendors, and volunteers. Veterans are asked to bring their DD214, and reservists and National Guard members are welcome.
